Who we are

The Aviation Environment Federation (AEF) is the leading UK non-governmental organisation (NGO) campaigning on the environmental and health impacts of aviation. Founded in 1975, we represent communities living around airports and campaign for sustainable aviation practices to protect people and the planet.

Our mission

Our mission is to secure policies and measures that effectively limit noise, emissions and other environmental impacts from the aviation sector. We work across local, national, and international levels to achieve this.

What we do

Aircraft Noise

• Campaigning for quieter aircraft and airport practices to reduce noise pollution.
