Our Services

At Rodney's Dance School, we offer a wide range of services tailored to meet the needs of our diverse clientele. Our services include:

• Medal Classes: We offer medal classes for both children and adults, following a graded path from PSDTs to National Award levels. These classes provide a structured learning environment, enabling students to develop their skills systematically.

• Adult Social Dance Courses: Our adult social dance courses offer a more relaxed format, suitable for beginners, intermediates, and advanced dancers. These classes provide an excellent opportunity to learn new skills and socialise with other dance enthusiasts.

• Rainbow Classes: Our Rainbow classes are designed for our younger dancers, aged between 4 and 8. These classes combine Ballroom, Latin, Disco, and fun dances, providing a lively and engaging introduction to the world of dance.

Our Team

Our team of dedicated and experienced teachers share a deep love for dance and a passion for teaching. They bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the school, ensuring our classes are of the highest quality.

• Rodney Perrott: With over 50 years of experience in the dance industry, Rodney Perrott is a highly respected figure in the world of dance. He qualified as a dance teacher in 1963 and has since achieved top international awards in Ballroom and Latin. Rodney enjoys teaching dancers of all abilities and takes great pride in seeing his students improve and enjoy their classes.

• Annette Jones: Annette Jones has been dancing for nearly 50 years and teaching for 48. She has achieved 76 medals in Old Time (Sequence), Ballroom, and Latin American dancing. Annette joined Rodney's Dance School in 2010 and is committed to teaching a standard of dance suitable for the individual, with a focus on theoretical understanding to enable students to reach their full potential.

• Cathy Abel: Cathy Abel has been dancing with Rodney's Dance School since she was 6 years old. She teaches Ballroom, Latin American, and Street dance styles. Cathy is passionate about teaching and believes dance can be a great 'get away' for all who take part. She enjoys seeing her students develop a love for dance and the fun it brings.

Our Achievements

Rodney's Dance School is accredited by the 'National Association of Teachers of Dancing' (NATD), with whom we run our examinations and teaching qualifications/training. We are proud of our strong connections with other dance schools both locally and nationally, and we continuously strive to update our expertise through formal development for our teachers.

In addition to our regular classes, we run many events such as workshops, social dances, dance holidays, parties, presentation evenings, and more. We are responsive to the ideas of our students and are always updating our content, classes, and events to meet their needs.
