How Lightwood Started

Lightwood Logistics was founded in 1997 by three directors who had previously worked in freight and warehousing operations for over 20 years. The company began by loading and receiving trailers, but over time, our services expanded to encompass all aspects of freight, storage, and distribution. Our initial services included cargo reception, storage, and loading into sea containers or trailers for shipping, as well as import services, port handling of full and LCL loads, custom clearance, and UK distribution, including hazardous and fragile goods. We are proud of our history and our ongoing commitment to providing exceptional logistics services.
