Disappointing Experience with Van Hire
Author Jack B. had a disappointing experience with a van hire service, giving it a rating of one star. Upon arrival, the van they offered on the phone was not available, and he had to take a much larger van that he felt uncomfortable with. The van also had a fault with the door, which prevented him from locking it securely.
Faulty Door and Security Concerns
After taking the van back for six hours, the fault with the door was not addressed, and he was forced to move his goods at night with the unsecured door. This led to security concerns, as he tried to park close to a fence to prevent access to the unsecured side. However, he misjudged the distance and damaged the near side of the van.
Charging for Minor Damages
When he returned the van, he was told he would have to pay a 500 waiver for the minor cosmetic damages. This left him feeling that the company did not care about the customer. He advised to tread carefully with this van hire service.
