Welcome to Magherally Cottage, a warm and inviting 18th-century thatched cottage nestled in the beautiful countryside of County Down, Northern Ireland. Situated in the Banbridge/Hillsborough area, this charming listed cottage has been thoughtfully restored to offer superior self-catering accommodation for up to six guests. With a keen eye for detail and a commitment to preserving the property's original features, Magherally Cottage combines the warmth of a traditional Irish farmstead with modern comforts.

Upon entering the cottage, guests are greeted by the inviting atmosphere of the living room. This space boasts authentic period features, such as an open fire, crane, and jamb wall, offering a delightful setting for relaxation. Spend your evenings cosied up by the fire, enjoying a film on the TV, DVD player, or the CD/radio. You can even stay connected with our complimentary Wi-Fi internet access.

The modern kitchen is fully equipped with views over the garden, picturesque countryside, and the Mourne Mountains. It offers seating for six and a range of amenities including an electric oven and hob, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, and microwave. A separate utility area houses a washing machine and tumble dryer to cater to all of your laundry needs.

Magherally Cottage offers three spacious bedrooms, each with ensuite facilities. Two elegantly appointed double bedrooms feature kingsize beds and ensuite shower rooms. The third room contains two comfortable double beds and a large ensuite bath that can function as the main bathroom. This bedroom is wheelchair-accessible, along with the front door, living room, kitchen, and main double bedroom.

Other amenities include an iron, ironing board, a travel cot, and a highchair. Bed linen is provided free of charge. Central heating and electricity are included in the rental cost, and guests can enjoy the enclosed garden and picnic table. The cottage has bicycle storage, and there is ample off-road car parking. We are, unfortunately, unable to accommodate pets and would like to remind guests that Magherally Cottage is a non-smoking establishment.

Upon arrival, guests are welcomed with a welcome pack comprising fresh bread, butter, milk, juice, and a starter fuel for the fire. This serves as a warm introduction to the cottage, ensuring you feel right at home from the moment you arrive.
