Restoring Heritage, Preserving Character

From the moment your child steps into Lewknor Pre-School, they will be welcomed into a world where they are valued, respected, and nurtured. Our commitment is to provide an environment that supports the overall well-being of each child, recognising that every child is unique and special in their own way. We believe that every child has the potential to learn and grow, and we strive to provide the best possible start to their educational journey.

Our Approach to Early Years Education

Lewknor Pre-School is OFSTED approved and inspected, and we are proud to have been rated "good" in our latest inspection. We are members of the Pre-School Learning Alliance (PLA) and have PLA accreditation. Our approach to early years education is based on the educational and developmental guidelines set out in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). We recognise the importance of play in the learning process, and we provide a range of activities and experiences that are designed to engage and stimulate young minds.

A Partnership Between Parents and Staff

At Lewknor Pre-School, we believe that the care and education of children is a partnership between parents and staff. We are committed to creating and maintaining great relationships with parents in order to share information about their children's needs, interests, and progress. We encourage parents to get involved with the pre-school in a number of ways, such as supporting fundraising activities or becoming members of the management committee.

Our Staff: Friendly, Approachable, and Passionate

Our staff members are friendly, approachable, and passionate about providing a positive learning experience for pre-school children. We recognise that children learn and develop at different rates, and we are committed to providing the support and encouragement that each child needs to reach their full potential.

Run by a Volunteer Management Committee

Lewknor Pre-School is run by a volunteer management committee of parents and local residents who employ a supervisor and staff to run the pre-school on their behalf. We are a registered charity, and our committee is made up of between 5 and 12 volunteers, at minimum consisting of the posts of Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer. All parents are invited to attend the AGM to elect these posts.

At Lewknor Pre-School, we are committed to promoting inclusivity and diversity. We welcome children from all backgrounds and abilities, and we strive to provide an inclusive environment where every child feels valued and respected.
