Trusted Antique Furniture Dealers in Hemel Hempstead
Established over 35 years ago by Anthony Bush, Bushwood Antiques has evolved from a small trade business into one of the UK's largest retail outlets for antique furniture. Our journey began in a disused Victorian art college in St Albans before relocating to our current location at Stags End, Hemel Hempstead. With a career spanning decades, our founder's expertise in sourcing and authenticating antiques has been passed down through generations of our team. We specialise in curating an extensive collection of English furniture from various periods, including rare and unique pieces that reflect Britain's rich heritage. Our showroom and workshops provide hands-on expertise for restoration services, ensuring each item maintains its historical integrity. As a family-run business, we combine traditional craftsmanship with modern retail practices to serve both private collectors and trade clients. Our inventory includes 18th and 19th-century mahogany secretaires, walnut planter tables, and ornate cabinets featuring hand-painted cameo scenes. We maintain strict quality standards through meticulous authentication processes before offering items for sale. Our premises in Hertfordshire provide ample space for displaying our diverse collection while maintaining workshop facilities for preservation work. With over 117 antique items regularly available, we cater to discerning customers seeking investment-grade pieces. Our location near major transport links makes us accessible to visitors from across the UK and internationally.
