Compensation and Working Conditions
The hourly rate of pay for Class 1 drivers has been criticized, with one reviewer stating that 11.50 per hour is "terrible". This low pay may be contributing to the constant need for the company to advertise for new drivers.
Incidents and Safety Concerns
A reviewer had a negative experience at T and B, where they were loaded with heavy top boards without ratchet straps. Despite requesting straps, the loader refused, and the reviewer was verbally attacked by a forklift operator with a "bad attitude". The reviewer refused to take the load due to safety concerns, but was later accused of having a bad attitude and refusing to take the load without reason. This incident highlights a lack of professionalism and disregard for health and safety.
Directions and Logistics
On a more positive note, one reviewer provided a helpful tip for HGV drivers, suggesting an alternative route to the T and B offices that avoids turning left onto "double bank" and over the dyke. Instead, drivers can keep going straight ahead and turn left at the T-junction to reach the offices.
