At Mevagissey Bay Hotel, we pride ourselves on being the perfect place to relax and unwind in Cornwall. Our beautifully located hotel offers comfortable and classic rooms, a traditional Cornish or high tea, and stunning views of the sea. Our hotel is perfectly placed to take advantage of the amazing South West Coastal Footpath, and we are within 45 minutes driving distance to some of the most popular attractions in the Duchy, including The Eden Project and The Lost Gardens of Heligan.

Our Services

We offer a variety of rooms, including deluxe patio king en-suite, king bed patio premium, and more. All of our rooms are en-suite, with some featuring full sea views and a private terrace. Our public areas include a beautiful lounge and bar area with sea views, a quiet lounge with a log fire, and an outside deck perfect for sunny days. We also offer a comprehensive breakfast menu, served in our dining room between 8am and 9:30am Monday to Friday, and 8am to 10am on Saturday and Sunday.

Our Story

We, John and Elleke Ross, have worked and lived abroad for a large part of our lives, which has involved extensive hotel stays in many different types of hotels around the world. This experience has given us a good understanding of what makes a great hotel stay. We strive to get both the big and small things right, and we welcome guest feedback to help us improve.

Our Location

Our hotel is located quarter of a mile outside Mevagissey towards Portmellon on Polkirt Hill. We are easily accessible by car, with limited private parking available at the front of the hotel. We are also close to public transportation, with the nearest railway station at St Austell approximately 15 minutes away by car, and Newquay Airport 40 minutes away.
