Our establishment has been passed down through five generations of master butchers, and we continue to uphold the traditional values and time-honored techniques that have defined our success. Our team, led by David Robinson, his father David, and uncle Eric, are dedicated to providing high-class service and quality products to our customers in Burntwood and Chase Terrace, Staffordshire.
Our Local Farms and Butchery
We believe in the importance of local, ethically-sourced meat. We maintain strong relationships with local farms, ensuring that the animals are well-cared for and travel minimal distances, which reduces stress and results in better meat quality. After purchasing the livestock directly from these farms, we kill, prepare, and process the animals in our own abattoir. This hands-on approach allows us to maintain complete control over the quality and freshness of our products. We are proud to display where our meat comes from, instilling confidence in our customers that they are purchasing genuine local produce.
Aging and Flavor Development
Maturation is an essential aspect of our butchery process. We dry air-mature our beef for up to 28 days, while our lambs are matured for up to 14 days. These maturation periods allow the natural enzymes and acids to slowly break down the meat, enhancing its tenderness and developing a rich, full flavor. We closely monitor our cold store temperatures and humidity levels, ensuring that our maturing process adheres to the highest standards.
Pig Roasts and Catering
With over 30 years of experience in pig and ox roasts, we are equipped to handle events of any scale. From small garden parties to grand weddings, our team offers a comprehensive service, including roast pigs or beef, bread rolls, stuffing, apple sauce, and experienced staff to ensure a memorable event.
In-House Production
Our two shops strive to create as many products as possible in-house. From dry-cured bacon and handmade sausages with a variety of flavors each week, to pork pies, cooked meats, and homemade pastries, we prioritize quality and authenticity in all that we produce.
