At Kershaw Garden Centre, we are a family-run independent garden centre that has been serving Yorkshire's gardeners for an astonishing 150 years. Our journey began in 1864 when the Kershaw family established Slead Syke Nurseries, which later became renowned for its rose growing, seedsmanship, and production of quality trees and shrubs. In 1929, the Yates family acquired the nursery, and under their ownership, the business expanded to cater to the growing demand for container-grown plants that could be planted all year round.
