At ElliTe Studios, we are passionate about providing high-quality dance education to young people in Wakefield, West Yorkshire. Established in 2007 by Principal Samantha Bell LISTD, our dance school offers a wide range of extra-curricular dance classes for children aged 3-18 years old.
Our Mission
Our mission is to provide a supportive and nurturing environment where children can explore their creativity, develop their skills, and build confidence through dance. We strive to inspire a love of dance in our students and help them develop into talented and creative individuals.
Our Services
We offer a variety of dance classes, including Imperial Classical Ballet, Modern, Tap, Jazz, Acro, and Musical Theatre. Our team of highly talented teachers, many of whom have had professional careers as Dance Captains on cruise lines and Examiners and Licentiates of the ISTD, are dedicated to providing the highest standard of training. We are an ISTD Approved Dance Centre, and our pupils work towards formal dance exams with the ISTD.
Our Classes
Our classes are designed to be fun and engaging, while also providing a strong foundation in dance technique. We believe that every child should have the opportunity to experience the joy of dance, regardless of their background or ability. Our classes cater to children of all ages and skill levels, from beginner to advanced.
Competitions and Performances
Throughout the year, our pupils participate in regional and national competitions, which help develop their performance skills, self-confidence, and technical abilities. We also produce an annual show, which is a fantastic opportunity for our students to showcase their talents.
Exams and Qualifications
We hold exam sessions every term, and all pupils are encouraged to work towards ISTD dance exams. Our pupils can progress through the exams at their own pace and take exams when ready and invited to do so.
Future Opportunities
Our students have successfully auditioned for various vocational colleges and have gone on to become successful performers or qualified dance teachers. We also offer opportunities for our pupils to participate in associate courses with organizations such as Northern Ballet, Phoenix, and York Scholars.
