Bowdon Cricket, Hockey & Squash Club is a long-established sports club offering Cricket, Hockey, Squash, and its thrilling new derivative, Racketball, all for one subscription. We take great pride in being an open club that welcomes all abilities, and we are located in the heart of the community of Altrincham, South Manchester. As a not-for-profit sports club, we reinvest any surplus back into our club facilities, ensuring that our members always have access to the best possible facilities.

Sports and Facilities

Our club boasts a magnificent setting, and our top-notch facilities include a minor counties standard cricket pitch, a water-based hockey pitch, and four squash courts, one of which is glass-backed. We also have access to three sand-dressed hockey pitches. Our studio room hosts fitness classes, conditioning classes, and our in-house physiotherapy consultancy. The vibrant social side of the club revolves around club and section events in our clubroom and link bar. Premier League Football and other major sporting events are regularly broadcast on the "Big Screen" in our clubroom.

Our cricket facilities support the playing aspirations of our members, and our coaching ethos enables players to improve their standard of play. We have a robust youth development system supported by our coaching teams and volunteers. Our local support extends to supporting groups such as Flyerz Hockey, enabling disabled and non-disabled players to play together. We cater to all levels of play, from beginners to elite players who go on to represent their country at junior, senior, and veteran levels.

Our hockey section boasts three hockey pitches, and our 1st teams are highly successful, with all of them playing in the highest possible league they can, whether regionally or nationally. Our coaching teams support the development of our players, and we have a thriving junior section that caters to all levels of play.

Our squash and racketball facilities include four courts, one of which is glass-backed. Our coaching teams support the development of our players, and we cater to all levels of play, from beginners to elite players who go on to be nationally ranked in their sport.

Membership

We offer various membership options, and our Bowdon Club Cards provide preferential pricing on the purchase of alcoholic drinks for members who are 18 years old and are up to date paying their subscription via the Go Cardless system. From 7th April, cards will be needed to access our squash courts and the changing room block.
