Analysis by UKAS Accredited Laboratory

Our asbestos sampling and analysis is carried out by a UKAS accredited laboratory, ensuring the highest level of accuracy and reliability in our results. This is a crucial step in the identification and management of asbestos containing materials, providing our clients with the information they need to make informed decisions.

About Asbestos

Asbestos is a naturally occurring fibrous silicate mineral that was widely used in building materials until the year 2000. Its properties, which include resistance to heat, chemicals, electrical current and sound, made it a popular choice for use in a wide range of applications. However, asbestos is not a threat to health unless an asbestos containing material (ACM) becomes damaged or is in poor condition. Once damaged, fibres contained within the asbestos can be released, becoming airborne and easily inhaled. These fibres can cause serious diseases if inhaled, making it essential that asbestos is identified and managed effectively.
