Freshly baked, locally loved, every day!
At Cavendish Bakery, we take pride in being a family-run business that has been serving the community of Eastbourne for over 45 years. Our story began in 1973 when Cliff Bennett and his wife Maureen established Saffron Patisserie in Grove Road, Eastbourne. Over the years, our business has evolved from a patisserie to a bakery, and we continue to bake fresh bread, pastries, and cakes daily on our premises. Our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction has earned us a loyal customer base, and we strive to provide the highest standards of service to our customers.

Our Heritage
Our business has a rich history, and we're proud to have been a part of the Eastbourne community for so many years. Cliff Bennett, our founder, was previously a manager at the renowned Bondofi's in Eastbourne, where he worked with his father Norman, also a skilled confectioner and director of Bondolfi's. Cliff's son Mark joined the business in 1987 and completed an apprenticeship at Brighton Technical College. He became a partner with Cliff in 1992 when they bought Cavendish Bakery in Cavendish Place.
