How can we help you today?

Welcome to The Lion at Leintwardine, a charming country inn nestled in the picturesque village of Leintwardine in South Shropshire. We are delighted to have been named the Best Pub in Shropshire in the National Pub and Bar Awards, a testament to our commitment to providing excellent food, drink, and accommodation. Our inn boasts beautiful bars, a restaurant, and comfortable rooms, making it the perfect place to unwind, enjoy a meal, or stay whilst exploring the delights of North Herefordshire, South Shropshire, and the renowned town of Ludlow.

Facilities and Services

At The Lion at Leintwardine, we offer a range of facilities and services designed to make your visit as enjoyable as possible. Our gardens, known as the Lion Gardens, feature lovely lawns that slope gently down to the River Teme, offering stunning views of the Welsh Marches. It's an ideal spot to relax with a drink or meal during summer.

We provide broadband internet facilities in all our bedrooms and wireless access on the ground floor. Morning coffee with scones and teacakes is available throughout the day in our snug area and garden. Unfortunately, we do not have facilities for pets to stay at the inn, but we do allow them in our Top Bar area.

Car Parking and Families

Ample free car parking is available for guests both behind and in front of The Lion. We welcome families and have highchairs and cots available for infant guests. Our freshly cooked children's menu features meals made from fresh local ingredients to appeal to our younger guests. Alternatively, we are happy to offer half-sized portions from our adult menus. Baby change facilities and a delightful children's play area with a wendy house and swings enclosed with a picket fence are also available.

Disabled Access

While The Lion is an old building with all bedrooms on the first floor accessible only by stairs, we have made every effort to make access on the ground floor easy for disabled guests. We have wide entrances and a ramp to our toilet area with separate disabled toilets. There is a single step up to our lounge bar and a single step down into our restaurant, but staff are available to assist guests who need help to access these areas. If this is not possible, we will gladly arrange for dining in the snug seating area.

Virtual Tour

We invite you to view our online virtual tour, which will guide you around our bars, restaurant, and accommodation, allowing you to explore the full 360 degrees.
