At Bourton and Zeals Pre-School, we are dedicated to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for children aged 2 to 4 years. Our pre-school is a home away from home, situated on the St George's Primary School site, where we have our own separate purpose-built building with an outside play area. We are managed by a volunteer committee and operate as a registered charity, running on a non-profit basis.
Our Mission
Our mission is to ensure that every child has a fun-filled, happy, and creative time learning through play. We believe that children have a natural desire to learn, explore, and question, and our practitioners offer core provisions and an environment that enables children to be curious. We capture the moment of engagement for each individual child, nurturing their curiosity so that they grow in knowledge and confidence of their capabilities.
Our Services
We offer a range of services to support the development of your child. We are open Monday to Friday, 8:45 am to 3:15 pm, term-time only. We cater for children aged 2 to 4 years and offer 2 and 3-year funded places. We also accept Tax-Free Childcare payments. Our staff are well-qualified and experienced, holding NVQ qualifications from Level 2 and above. They have training in Safeguarding and Child Welfare, First Aid, Special Educational Needs, Child Development, Behavioural Management, and Makaton.

Our team is led by Miss Joellen, our Setting Manager and Safeguarding Lead, who is supported by a team of experienced practitioners, including Miss Sharon, Miss Jo, Miss Nancy, and Miss Katherine. Our team is dedicated to providing a high-quality education and care for your child.

We are a member of the Pre-School Learning Alliance, which ensures we are constantly in touch with current good practice in the fields of education and childcare. We are also registered and inspected by Ofsted, ensuring that we meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
