Where every visit is a pleasure, and every memory is a treasure!
Trinity Nursery School, located on Brunswick Road in Bangor, has been a staple in the community since its opening in May 1976. Initially built as a primary school, it was converted into a large two-unit nursery school and has since been providing high-quality education to children in the area. The school is under the control of the Education Authority and boasts a bright, attractive building with a comprehensive range of resources and equipment.
Our spacious grounds incorporate four play areas, including a main playground with soft surfaces, a shuttered area for physical play in wet weather, and grassed and garden areas with cottages, a vegetable patch, bark pit, and a variety of shrubs and trees. A recent extension to the nursery is our Garden Room, which provides additional space for the parent courses we offer throughout the year.
Our Staff
Our staff is made up of a teaching principal and a second teacher, supported by a team of nursery assistants. A part-time secretary, building supervisor, and dining attendant complete our team. Our staff are highly qualified and experienced practitioners who constantly update their knowledge and skills through courses and training. We pride ourselves on our strong, dedicated team who are committed to providing the best possible education for our children.
Our Services
At Trinity Nursery School, we provide a safe, secure, and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow. We aim to foster positive attitudes towards learning through engagement in creative play and opportunities designed to stimulate interest and imagination. We celebrate the individuality of every child and recognise their differing needs, creating a nurturing educational context within which all children may achieve their full potential.
We offer a comprehensive curriculum that covers all aspects of a child's development, including social, emotional, cognitive, and physical needs. Our curriculum is designed to be engaging, fun, and challenging, and we pride ourselves on our ability to cater to the individual needs and interests of each child.
In addition to our regular curriculum, we offer a range of parent courses throughout the year, held in our Garden Room. These courses are designed to provide parents with the skills and knowledge they need to support their child's learning and development at home.
Admissions
The school provides 52 places on a full-time basis, with two classes operating during specified session times. Admissions are handled by the Education Authority, and further information on the admissions criteria and procedure can be found on their website. We welcome applications from all families and are committed to providing an inclusive and diverse learning environment.
Partnerships
We enjoy and benefit from excellent partnerships with local schools and businesses. These partnerships provide opportunities for our children to engage with the wider community and to develop important skills for the future.
