General Overview

Hays House is a care home that has received a mixed bag of reviews. While some reviewers were extremely pleased with the care provided, others were not as happy. The care home is located in a beautiful countryside area, and the staff are generally friendly and kind.

Positive Feedback

  • Excellent Care

Mum's been here less than a week, and the care has been excellent, within 24hrs they've her standing up, which is the first time in over 2 months. (J. C.)

  • Comfortable Living

My Dad was admitted in to Hays House on a 'Discharge to Assessment' basis following 10 weeks in Bath RUH. He has only been in a week, but has been given a lovely, functional room on the ground floor overlooking the rear garden and open countryside beyond. (Andy Sticky)

  • Honest and Empathetic Approach

The care, the empathy, the honest approach all the Staff showed towards my Darling, at times, difficult Mum, will never be forgotten. On every level, the staff at Hays House show how a Care Home should be. (Timothy Thomas)

Negative Feedback

  • Lack of Communication

No one keeps us informed. Awful staff turnaround. Sadly a vast majority are non English speaking (especially on weekends) which doesn't help residents. AVOID at all costs if you value your loved ones. Awful place. (Jennie Sandy)

  • Intimidation

If you leave a bad (honest reviews) management will try to intimidate your relative then storm off in a huff - so unprofessional. (Jennie Sandy)
