A Bit More About Us
Happylands Private Day Nursery is a privately owned nursery situated in the community square next to the Lyppard Grange Community Centre, in a purpose-built nursery building. We care for children aged 3 months to 5 years, offering flexible hours to accommodate working parents. Our opening hours are Monday to Friday, 8 am to 6 pm, and we close for all bank holidays and a week at Easter and Christmas.
Our nursery is owned by Carole Pugh, a qualified State Registered Nurse and midwife, who opened her first nursery in 1990 and Lyppard Grange Nursery in 1998. Our manager, Emily Brown, has been with us since 2011 and has recently taken on the responsibility of office manager. She joined Happylands as one of our first children in 1990! Our team also includes Sue Maguire, a nursery practitioner who joined us in 2008 and holds a NVQ 3 in childcare. She has 15 years of experience in various nurseries around Worcester.
We are committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment for every child in our care. Our team includes Amy Carter, a nursery practitioner who joined us in December 2021, after working and managing in a number of different nurseries. She has begun her apprenticeship to gain a Level 2 Early Years practitioner qualification. Alexia Seal, one of our nursery apprentices, loved her experiences at Happylands nursery so much as a child she has decided to train to be a nursery nurse with us! Paulina Marton, a Level 3 NVQ qualified nursery nurse, joined us in September 2017 and has a strong passion for working with children of all ages. Elle Moss joined us in the Summer of 2020 after completing her level 3 in children's play, learning, and development. Chloe Chatt, our nursery practitioner, joined us in August 2021, having completed a BA (hons) in Early Childhood Studies.
