Our Venue

Behind our striking Gothic facade lies unobstructed room space with capacities of up to 200 people, making us the ideal choice for wedding and civil ceremonies, receptions, private parties, and meetings. Our original features, including fireplaces, windows, carvings, wood panelled walls, and a barrel vault ceiling, add to the character and charm of our venue. We also boast a minstrel's gallery in the Great Hall, providing a unique and memorable setting for any occasion.

Our experienced Town Hall Manager, Housekeeper, and Catering and Bar Contractors are dedicated to providing you with exceptional service and ensuring that your event runs smoothly. We offer a range of services, including catering, bar facilities, and event coordination, to make your occasion truly unforgettable. Our modern Bar, run by Marie Clout, provides a comprehensive range of menus and wines, and our contracted caterers can provide anything from a finger buffet to a three-course sit-down meal.

Facilities

We cater to a wide range of activities and events, from yoga and tae kwon-do to pliates and tai chi. Our facilities include special lifts and cloakroom facilities for the disabled, ensuring that everyone can enjoy our unique venue. We are conveniently situated on Berkhamsted High Street in the heart of this historic town, making us easily accessible for all.

Community

Berkhamsted Town Hall is not just a venue for private events; we are also a hub for community activities. We host a range of activities on a weekly and monthly basis, including Community Market, Biodanza, Bridge Club, Dance Clubs, Egyptian dance classes, Kumon Maths & English lessons, Pilates, Tai Chi, Tae Kwon-Do, Yoga, Playgroups, and Retirement Clubs. Our Community Market is held on the 1st Saturday of every month, and our Farmer's Market is held on the 3rd Sunday of every month.
