The Process

Step 1: Identify your needs

Before you visit our showroom, it's essential to identify what you need. What type of flooring are you looking for? Where is it for? Do you require a practical, hard-wearing, warm or insulating option? Our individual flooring sections will help you answer these questions.

Step 2: Visit our showroom

Our showroom is home to an extensive range of flooring options on display. We invite you to come and browse our selections and discuss your needs with one of our trained advisers. We understand that choosing the right flooring can be overwhelming, and we're here to help you make the right choice.

Step 3: Order samples

Once you've identified the flooring you like, we can order samples for you. It's essential to see how the flooring looks in your home environment and how it works with your colour scheme. We're here to help you visualize your new flooring, so don't hesitate to ask for samples.

Step 4: Book a home measure

After you've chosen your flooring, one of our trained advisers will visit your home to provide you with an accurate estimate and discuss the installation process further. We're here to make the process as seamless as possible, from selection to installation.

Carpets

Choosing the right carpet can be a daunting task. With so many types of carpets on the market, it's easy to get overwhelmed. That's why we're here to help. At Forth Flooring, we have a comprehensive range of carpets that cater to all tastes and budgets. We have a guide that will help you choose from the many types of carpets out there.

Twist

The popular twist textured carpet is the cut pile standard. The carpet yarn is tightly twisted, resulting in a versatile, hard-wearing finish that is less likely to show marks. It comes in different weights, allowing you to use the same colour throughout your home while reducing costs by using suitable lighter weights in bedrooms and more durable heavy weights in lounges and staircases. We have twist carpets in every colour, and we can even have a carpet custom-made to match a colour that you bring to us.

Velvet

Velvet carpet, as the name suggests, offers a softer and more luxurious look that is both rich and indulgent. Luxurious and soft to touch, they look superb in bedrooms and formal rooms. Velvets, however, are more prone to display tracking from foot traffic and vacuuming.

Manmade Fibres/Synthetic

These are now very popular due to the yarn (usually polypropylene) that has improved greatly over the years and now looks very similar to wool. These carpets are hard-wearing and cost-effective, with a built-in resistance to liquids, dust, and dirt. Some are even protected against food and drink stains for life. Additionally, they are anti-static, so no shocks from your carpet.

Loop Pile

Berber/Loop pile carpets are increasing in popularity faster than any other type of carpet. The loops are made from thick or bulky yarns of wool, nylon, polypropylene, or a blend of these fibres, providing high durability and a luxurious cushioned effect underfoot.

Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT)

LVT's are durable, realistic, easy to clean and maintain, warm, quiet underfoot, and waterproof. Companies such as Karndean and Amtico have a huge range of woods

Reviews
Positive: The office staff, particularly Natalie, were found to be helpful and friendly.
Negative: The company has issues with reliability, punctuality, and driver behaviour, leading to poor customer experiences.

Appointments and Reliability

The reviews highlight issues with the company's reliability and punctuality. One reviewer, Adam McGibbon, had a poor experience where the company failed to show up for a scheduled appointment, wasting his entire day. When he contacted them, he didn't receive an apology, leading him to label them as "time wasters".

Customer Service and Staff

On the other hand, Susan Andrew had a positive experience with the office staff, particularly Natalie, who was very helpful. This suggests that the company has some friendly and competent staff members.

Driver Behaviour

Craig Lovie's review raises concerns about the company's drivers' behaviour on the road. He reported a disturbing incident where a driver engaged in aggressive behaviour, including hand gestures and tailgating, putting the safety of his children at risk. This incident highlights the need for the company to address temperamental issues among its drivers.
