Learning Together, Growing Together, Thriving Together

Molly's Pre-School, a trusted name in childcare and education, has been providing exceptional care for children aged two and above since 1966. Our reputation for delivering quality care and education is well-deserved, thanks to our passionate and dedicated team who possess over 150 years of combined early years experience.

At Molly's Pre-School, we recognise that every child is unique, and we strive to provide an environment that supports their individual development. Our staff members are fully qualified, first aid certified, and regularly attend further training to ensure their knowledge and skill range remain current. We are committed to fostering a warm, supportive, and nurturing environment where children can flourish and excel in all areas of their development.

The range of services we offer is designed to support the emotional, intellectual, and physical growth of all children in our care. At Molly's Pre-School, we focus on developing the following key skills:

A Day at Molly's

Our daily routine is designed to provide children with a sense of security, structure, and spontaneity. Each session includes a mix of self-selected activities, free play, and focused learning opportunities, ensuring a balance of learning and fun throughout the day.

We offer morning, lunch, afternoon, and full-day sessions from Monday to Thursday, and a morning session on Fridays. Children can enjoy free play, outdoor play, and phonics and focus work activities during their time with us.

Our outdoor play spaces provide children with access to climbing frames, slides, and mud kitchens, allowing them to develop their balancing and risk-taking skills. We also offer forest school experiences and visits to local allotments, where children can learn about growing their own food.

Each week, we focus on a different topic that supports the children's interests, expands their vocabulary, and enhances their understanding of the world around them. Specialist activities are set up to help children with the transition to primary school and to support early reading, writing, and counting skills.

We believe that mealtimes are an excellent opportunity for children to develop their social skills. A healthy snack of fruit, toast, crumpets, crackers, and cheese is offered free of charge halfway through both morning and afternoon sessions, along with water and milk. If you require lunchtime care, you are welcome to provide a packed lunch for your child to enjoy during our lunch club.

Every session ends with singing and a story, and children have access to hundreds of books in our cosy book corner. Puppets, big books, and book packs are used to encourage children's imaginations and help them develop their storytelling skills.
