Ryde Taxis IOW Limited is a family-run business that provides a friendly and safe service across the Isle of Wight. We have been providing this service for over 40 years for residents and visitors to our wonderful island. Formed in the early 1970's, Ryde Taxis is the largest taxi company on the Isle of Wight, supplying Hackney Carriage Taxis, Private Hire cars, Wheelchair Accessible Vehicles, and Mainland trips.

Our Philosophy

Here at Ryde Taxis, we take our work very seriously, and in these times of belt tightening, we recognise that every penny saved is of a benefit to you and your business. With that in mind, we offer a 10% discount on all fares when booked through our office via phone or email. We continue to set trends in our industry, with a fully computerised, fully manned booking system that enables us to track your vehicle to let you know just how close they are to you and we can also send you a text or call you when your taxi is outside.

Our Drivers

All our drivers understand that in order to deliver excellent customer service, they need to go that extra mile. With their vast experience, they are able to deliver the experience our customers require. In addition, all of our drivers are DBS checked and have an NVQ in passenger transportation. We regularly receive positive customer feedback on how friendly and helpful our drivers are.

Our Vehicles

We offer a wide range of vehicles, including 4 seat Saloon and Estate Cars, 7 and 8 seat minibus. We can also provide Wheelchair Accessible vehicles. All of our vehicles also come with Credit/Debit card facilities.
