Ivythwaite Cottages

Ivythwaite Cottages, nestled in the picturesque town of Windermere, offers a warm and friendly welcome to all our guests. Our accommodation, situated within the grounds of a traditional Lakeland guest house, boasts a blend of contemporary style and rustic charm. The Nook, a one-bedroom semi-detached house, offers a living room, dining kitchen, double bedroom, bathroom, and private outdoor terrace. Meanwhile, The Cranny, a studio apartment, features a seating area, kitchenette, separate bathroom, and outside seating area.

Both cottages are equipped with Sky TV, including the full sports and movie package, and free WiFi, ensuring our guests can unwind and stay connected during their stay. We are ideally situated on a quiet street, only a stone's throw away from the bustling villages of Windermere and Bowness-on-Windermere. Ample on-street parking is available, and we offer a private car park with an EV charge point at the rear of the cottages.

Our Cottages: A Perfect Blend of Comfort and Sustainability

Our cottages are let on a self-catering basis, allowing our guests the freedom and flexibility to enjoy their stay at their own pace. However, we pride ourselves on our hospitality, and for an additional cost, we offer a large breakfast menu, served in our elegant dining room, warmed by a log burner in the winter months. Our menu features locally sourced produce, catering to various dietary requirements and preferences.

At Ivythwaite Cottages, we are committed to promoting sustainability and limiting the environmental impact of our guests' stays. Our sustainability charter outlines the steps we ask our guests to take to help us achieve our goals. We are proud of the stunning dark skies of the Lake District and have resources and equipment to help our guests with their stargazing.

Cottage One-Bedroom House

This one-bedroom house forms part of a large Victorian house and has been fully renovated. The kitchen/dining area is located on the ground floor, and the fully-equipped kitchen includes a fridge, a freezer, and a washing machine. Free WiFi, Sky Sports, luggage storage, linen and towels are provided. The house also features blackout curtains, and the bedroom comprises a comfortable double bed.

Cottage Standard Studio

This studio is part of a large Victorian house and features a comfortable seating area, kitchenette, separate bathroom, and outside seating area. The kitchenette includes a fridge, combination microwave with oven and grill, and a hotplate. The living/dining space features a comfortable sofa, Sky TV, a DVD player, and blackout curtains. Free WiFi, Sky Sports, luggage storage, linen and towels are provided. Tea and coffee facilities are also available.
