Good Food As Fast As We Can
Welcome to our family-friendly cafe, a place where good, honest, and local food has been at the heart of our philosophy since 2001. Nestled in the picturesque countryside of East Suffolk, we have built a reputation for providing the finest locally sourced produce and products, carefully grown, baked, cooked, and created by a diverse range of dedicated suppliers. Our cafe and shop are fully accessible for disabled visitors, and we extend a warm welcome to well-behaved dogs on leads.
We are open seven days a week, from 8 am to 4 pm, serving breakfasts, lunches, and afternoon teas. Our kitchens transform the abundant local produce into mouthwatering dishes, with chef's specials each day influenced by the seasons. Whether you fancy a hearty breakfast, a fresh and healthy lunch, or a traditional afternoon tea, we have something to tantalize your taste buds. Our menu caters to vegetarians, vegans, and those with food allergies, including coeliacs. Simply let our waiting staff know your dietary requirements before placing your order.
Our Suffolk Breakfast
Our Suffolk Breakfast is a popular choice, featuring locally sourced free-range eggs, sausages, black pudding, and more. We also offer veggie and vegan options, ensuring that everyone can enjoy a satisfying start to the day.
Seasonal Lunch
Our lunch menu boasts a selection of fresh and healthy dishes, as well as traditional favorites. We update our menus regularly, reflecting the seasonal produce available from our local suppliers. You can find our current menus on display at the cafe, so be sure to check them out during your visit.
Our Famous Cream Teas
No visit to our cafe would be complete without trying our homemade scones, freshly baked daily using locally grown and milled flour. Paired with our homemade jams and clotted cream, our cream teas are truly a treat for the senses.
In Store
Our handy shop, situated right next to the cafe, offers an array of local produce and products for you to take home. You can pick up a pack of our free-range (and gluten-free) pork bangers, golden-yolked local eggs, seasonal vegetables, fruits, poultry, smoked fish, cheeses, chutneys, sauces, biscuits, cakes, and bread, as well as daily newspapers, local ice creams, gifts, greetings cards, and seasonal plants. We also have a selection of seasonal soups and pies from our cafe for you to enjoy at home.
Before You Visit
We operate as a traditional walk-in cafe and don't take table bookings. While we strive to serve our customers as quickly as possible, we cook to order, ensuring that every dish is freshly prepared and delicious. If you're in a hurry, please let a member of staff know, and they will advise on what can be prepared and served within your timeframe.
Getting Here
We're easy to find, located beside the main road (A12) just north of Woodbridge. We have plenty of parking, making us a convenient stop-off if you're heading up to Aldeburgh or elsewhere on the Suffolk coast.
