Recent Case Studies

*Spar Store, Penwortham*

Eis-Kalt recently completed the fit-out of SPAR's newest concept store in Penwortham. The store is leading the way with light and customer-friendly environments and energy-saving initiatives such as polycarbonate fridge doors and LED lights installed throughout the store. These innovative solutions have set a new standard in green thinking for SPAR and other retail stores.

*Working with Daikin, Cumbria*

Eis-Kalt (UK) Ltd installed highly efficient Daikin refrigeration units on behalf of Hills of Corby Hill Ltd, for the rebuild and expansion of a Spar store and petrol filling station in Whitehaven, Cumbria. The design team worked closely with Daikin UK to ensure maximum levels of energy efficiency without disturbing the neighbours. The facility was operational during the extension and refurbishment programme. The highly energy-efficient and ultra-quiet solution supplied by Daikin UK included a CVP condensing unit to serve four large display cases and one smaller display case, all with glass doors. The design also incorporated three recessed ceiling cassettes and a recirculating heat pump, maximizing energy efficiency and providing heat and hot water for the shop.

*Spar Store, Sedbergh*

The project included building an environmentally acceptable store within the Lake District national park, which met the design and build requirements for a 3000Sq Ft convenience store and a local health centre. Eis-Kalt designed the shop layout and integrated the refrigeration and air conditioning equipment with the interior fit-out and ventilation services. Our innovative solutions included; LED lighting, energy-saving doors, a Daikin condensing unit, a high-efficiency ammonia refrigeration system, and external condensing units on the roof area. These solutions exceeded the energy efficiency and sustainability goals of the project, resulting in reduced running costs for the convenience store and health centre.
