Facilities and Service
The Merryhatton Garden Centre's garden centre was praised by many reviewers, with Allan Duncan highlighting its excellent facilities and great cafe. Louise Kowbel, on the other hand, had a severely disappointing experience with the cafe's service. She reported waiting for a long time for her food, with her macaroni cheese arriving in a small bowl that looked like soup, and then struggling to order cakes and tea.
Food Quality
Robina Keay, husband, found his macaroni cheese to be "stodgy" and not living up to its promised creaminess. Daniel Arrundale was given a sausage roll instead of his ordered bacon, and while he didn't complain, he didn't have high hopes for the centre's food after that experience. Sarah Marginson was shocked to find out that gluten-free scones were more expensive than regular scones, while Scott Mcneish found scones to be dry and tasteless on his visit. Neil Broadhurst, however, enjoyed his sandwich and the generous portions. Laura Burrell and Ann Rowan both had positive experiences with the food, with Laura mentioning good food and Ann exclaiming that the cafe was "highly recommended".
Atmosphere and Ambiance
The Merryhatton Garden Centre's garden centre was described as "pretty" by Laura Burrell, and Ann Rowan mentioned a lovely atmosphere. Neil Broadhurst, who stopped off on a chilly cycle ride, enjoyed the warmth and hospitality of the cafe.
Overall
Overall, the reviews suggest that the Merryhatton Garden Centre's garden centre is a great place to visit, with excellent facilities and friendly staff. However, the cafe has had a number of disappointments, including slow service, poor food quality, and overpriced gluten-free options.
