Aspect Design

Aspect Design is a family-run business, established in 1978 by partners Allan Smith and Phil Brown. Today, the company is still run by Allan Smith, together with his wife and partner, Sue, their son, Daniel, and employee, Paul Sykes. With a long history of providing excellent printing services, Aspect Design has built a reputation for delivering high-quality work at a fair price.

Our Services

At Aspect Design, we offer a wide range of services, including design, print, and self-publishing. Our design services include producing eye-catching designs for all print media, such as leaflets, magazines, packaging, and stationery. We can create new logos for clients, both small and large, and produce illustrations to specification, including cartoons, maps, and diagrams. Additionally, we provide a photography and image-manipulation service.

In terms of print, we specialize in digital printing, which allows us to print straight from a digital file to the printer without the need for costly pre-press processes. This makes short runs economical, and we can print in black and white or color. We also offer an in-house finishing service, including collating, numbering, creasing, folding, padding, stapling, and perfect-binding.

Our Story

Aspect Design was founded on the principles of excellence, with Phil Brown, the founding partner, being one of the last generations of printers to be taught at the prestigious Birmingham School of Printing. The firm was set up with the ambition of being counted as an inheritor to this tradition of excellence. Over the years, the company has evolved, incorporating new technologies and techniques to stay at the forefront of the industry.

Our Team

Our team is dedicated to providing excellent service and producing high-quality work. Allan Smith, the founder, has a background in fine art and print-making, while his wife, Sue, has a family history in printing. Their son, Daniel, is passionate about book design and is conversant with the reigning conventions of book design. Paul Sykes, an employee since 1989, studied graphic design at Worcester School of Art and Design.
