Woodlands Nursery

At Woodlands Day Nursery, we are committed to providing a warm, welcoming, and stimulating environment that fosters the growth, development, and well-being of children from 2 to 5 years old. Our 30-place private day nursery is registered with OFSTED (URN 139209) and is situated in a quiet cul-de-sac, just off Ruislip High Street, with a large secure grassed area that provides an ideal setting for outdoor play.

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide a unique childcare facility that puts the emotional needs of children and their parents at its core. As mothers ourselves, we understand the importance of a nurturing and supportive environment that allows children to thrive and grow. Our experienced and qualified staff are dedicated to providing high-quality care and education, tailored to meet the individual needs of each child.

Our Staff

Our team of experienced and qualified staff are dedicated to the welfare, safety, and happiness of the children in their care. All staff are qualified or working towards their qualification, and it is a requirement that they attend further childcare training on a regular basis. We operate on a 1:5 staff-to-child ratio, ensuring that each child receives the attention and care they deserve. All staff are first aiders and CRB checked, ensuring that you can trust us with your child's care.

Our Services

Our nursery provides a range of services designed to support the developmental needs of children from 2 to 5 years old. Our daily routine includes a combination of structured activities, free play, and outdoor play, tailored to meet the individual needs of each child. We also offer:

• A varied and nutritious diet, catering to dietary requirements and allergies
• A secure and stimulating outdoor play area
• Regular reporting and feedback to parents on their child's progress
• Strong partnerships with parents and the local community

• Debbie Gumm, Owner/Manager, with a background in nursery management and childcare
• Diana Lowman, Officer In Charge, with experience in fire and health and safety coordination, as well as staff supervision
• Laura Gumm, Senior Childcare Practitioner, with qualifications in childcare and education
• Chelsey Pritchard, Childcare Practitioner, with qualifications in childcare and education
• Stacy Pye, Childcare Practitioner, with qualifications in childcare and education
• Nicci Dring, Childcare Practitioner, with qualifications in childcare and education
• Hayley Wiggins, Office Admin, with experience in administration and finance
• Nicole Foy, Nursery Tea-Lady/Cleaner, with experience in food hygiene and cleaning
