At Ruislip Stars Nurseries and Pre-school, we believe that every child deserves the best possible start in life. Our purpose-built settings are designed to support, nurture, and challenge the development and growth of all our children, whether they are in our nursery or preschool.
Our Settings
We have two settings, specifically designed to cater to the needs of our children. Our nursery is home for all our children from the age of six months onwards. The nursery is designed to allow free flow for the children between all the areas of learning and play. The main room is designed as an open-plan layout, and we also have an additional sensory quiet room, kitchen, and a separate children's bathroom. The nursery also has its own dedicated spacious outdoor area.
Our preschool is designed for children from the age of 2.5 years onwards. The preschool is designed as an open-plan space, which allows the children maximum opportunity to freely move through the learning and play zones. We also have a beautiful indoor sensory garden, which is a popular spot for both staff and children to enjoy. The preschool has its own commercial kitchen where healthy food and snacks are prepared on-site, and the children also have their own real cut-down kitchen where they enjoy cooking simple, easy, and healthy meals.
Our Curriculum
At Ruislip Stars Nurseries, we take a child-led approach to our curriculum. We assess the needs of each child using our quality assessment tool and use this information to plan challenging and age-appropriate activities for the children to work towards their cultural capital. Our experienced team works together to identify areas for development and plan activities that are tailored to the interests and needs of the children.

Community
We love to give back to our community. The children also love to join in with fundraisers and events to help raise awareness and money for various charities and community issues. We also enjoy hosting community events just for fun! Some of the things we have done in the past include singing Christmas songs in ASDA, visiting community members in a local church, and helping to raise money for a local charity that supported a girl in need of a wheelchair.
SEND Local Offer
We believe that every child deserves an opportunity to thrive, regardless of their abilities. That's why we have a SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disability) Local Offer. Our SEND team works closely with parents and carers to provide support and resources to help children with special educational needs and disabilities to reach their full potential.

Our menus are proudly based on the healthy eating guide. Our food is prepared fresh in our settings by our chef, and our menu is planned weekly with a wide range of different meals.
