Our History

Truro Tractors was founded in 1984 by Martin and Ernestine Stephens as a second-hand Ford tractor sales and repair business. The company quickly grew to become a Same Tractors dealership and expanded its offerings to include Ford tractor parts, hydraulic pipes, and other sundries. By 1986, the company had become a Ford main dealer, further expanding its stock to include combine harvesters and grassland machinery.

In 1987, the company moved to a new industrial site at Threemilestone, constructing a new building that housed a workshop, stores, showroom, and offices. In 1990, Truro Tractors acquired the horticultural machinery firm of Stanley F West and established their own horticultural business, West Horticultural Machinery. This acquisition allowed Truro Tractors to operate as a specialist horticulture business, offering professional equipment and subsequently becoming a New Holland compact dealer. In 1993, the company acquired the Honda ATV franchise, which proved to be a valuable addition to the business.

Truro Tractors' headquarters is now located on Cox Hill, Chacewater, where we continue to provide exceptional service and a wide range of products to our customers in Cornwall, Devon, and beyond.
