Meet the Founder - Mike Franks

Mike Franks has over 30 years of experience in the construction and property industries. He obtained his Honours degree in Building Surveying from Liverpool John Moores University in 1996 and subsequently earned professional membership to the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in 1999. Mike has worked for several distinguished private practices in London, Liverpool, and Manchester before founding Franks Associates in 2004.

Mike's expertise spans a wide range of building surveying aspects, and he regularly receives instructions from leading UK law firms for a diverse array of construction and property matters. He has a particular interest in party wall surveying and regularly provides assistance to offshore trusts with various party wall issues related to their high-end residences within Zones 1 and 2 of central London. Mike is a past Treasurer and active member of the North West branch of The Pyramus & Thisbe Society (formerly The Pyramus & Thisbe Club). While Mike takes instructions for work from all over the country, he primarily practices in the North West, London, and Oxford.
