Transforming exteriors, one window at a time
At Vancouver Hotel and Studios, we pride ourselves on providing a unique and personalized experience for our guests. Our family-owned boutique hotel is located in the vibrant area of Bayswater, W2, and is easily accessible to the rest of London. We offer a range of accommodations, from our beautifully designed single studios to our spacious apartments, each featuring a kitchenette and en-suite bathroom. Our hotel is full of character, with an antique collection painstakingly sourced over the years, creating the look and feel of a traditional London townhouse.
Our History
Our hotel has a rich history, dating back over 100 years. The name "Vancouver" originates from the first owners, two Canadian sisters who opened the hotel in the 1920s, naming it after their birth city. The name has continued without a break for over 100 years, and we are proud to be only the second family to own and operate the hotel. Our original family motto, "In Spe Vivimus, " which translates to "We live in hope, " can be seen on some original crockery from the 1920s, now framed and hanging proudly in our reception area.
Our Services
We offer a range of facilities to ensure our guests have a comfortable and relaxing stay. Our bar is the perfect place to unwind and try our specialty cocktail, "Luca's Favourite." We also have a private gym and private garden, where guests can enjoy coffee and breakfast on sunny days. Our accommodation ranges from single studios to apartments, each designed to provide a comfortable and relaxing space for our guests.
Our Team
Our General Manager, Luca, has over 15 years of experience working in hospitality and is dedicated to ensuring that every guest has a memorable stay. He is always on hand to answer any questions or address any issues that may arise during your stay. Our guests may arrive as strangers, but they leave as part of our family here in London.
Local Area
Our hotel is centrally located in Bayswater, W2, making it easy to explore the rest of London. We are close to fashionable Notting Hill, a few minutes' walk from the famous Portobello Road, Westbourne Grove, Queensway, and Kensington Gardens. With three Underground Stations within walking distance, getting around London couldn't be easier.
Location and Accessibility
The hotel's location is a major plus point for many guests. It's easily accessible from tube stations, with some rooms even having a short walk to the station. However, some guests have mentioned that the stairs to the higher floors can be narrow and steep, making it uncomfortable to carry luggage.
Rooms and Amenities
The rooms at the hotel vary in terms of size and layout, with some guests staying in studios and others in apartments. The decor is generally described as quirky and charming, with some guests mentioning that their room had a full kitchen and washer/dryer. However, some guests have noted that the rooms can be a bit cramped and that the bathrooms are sometimes small.

The staff at the hotel are generally friendly and helpful, with some guests mentioning that they went above and beyond to assist with their stay. However, one guest had a negative experience with the manager, who was unsympathetic to their needs.
Value for Money
The hotel is generally considered to be a good value for the price, especially considering its location. However, some guests have noted that the rooms can be a bit small and that the hotel could do with some updates.
