Cinderford RFC Rugby Club
Established in 1886, Cinderford RFC has been a cornerstone of rugby in the Forest of Dean for over 135 years. Our club has weathered historical challenges, including the decline of the local coal mining industry, yet consistently demonstrated resilience through strategic leadership and community support. We have nurtured talent that has progressed to international levels, with players like Freddie Burns and Sam Underhill gaining professional experience through dual registrations. Our re-emergence in National One in 2018, following a 143-point season, underscores our competitive spirit. Today, we maintain three senior teams, a comprehensive mini and junior section, and a thriving ladies/girls programme.

Our coaching staff combines professional expertise with local knowledge, including former Gloucester players and experienced youth developers. The Beavis Memorial Ground serves as both a sporting venue and community hub, offering facility hire for various events. Our commitment to youth development has produced multiple age-group teams from Under 7s to Colts. We maintain strong ties with local businesses and supporters, reflected in our commercial partnerships and community engagement initiatives. Through decades of operation, we have preserved our identity while adapting to modern sporting requirements.
