Splash-Happy Swimschool is a leading provider of quality swimming lessons in Bristol for small groups of children and adults, ranging from Non-swimmers to pre-competition levels. Established in 1999, we have been delivering exceptional swimming education to families for over two decades. Our experienced and highly trained teachers are dedicated to inspiring and encouraging young learners to participate fully and have fun while learning.
Children's Swimming Lessons
We offer a variety of children's swimming lessons for all ages and abilities. Children can start in our mainstream lessons from the age of 3 years and 6 months, and we offer specialist classes such as Toddler and Adult, and Preschool and Adult sessions for younger learners. Our teachers work with assistants in the water to build trust and confidence, encouraging participation and engagement. As learners progress up through the higher ability groups, teachers will move to poolside instruction, allowing for individual and group feedback and observation of technique.
Pre-competition Lane Classes
For older learners, we offer pre-competition lane classes where they can continue to develop stroke technique while learning turns, starts, and finishes. These classes are designed to prepare swimmers for competitive swimming, and our experienced teachers provide individualised guidance and feedback to help learners reach their full potential.
Holiday Intensive Courses
We offer a variety of intensive courses during school holidays, ranging from learn-to-swim through to water polo, artistic swimming, pool sport, survival and safety training, and more. These courses are designed to provide learners with an opportunity to focus on specific skills and techniques in a condensed timeframe, allowing for rapid progress and improvement.
Small Class Sizes
Our classes are kept small, with a maximum of 8 learners per class, to ensure that each learner receives individual attention and feedback. We employ a combination of songs, games, and drills to aid learning, and use a variety of flotation and teaching aids to inspire confidence and participation.
Experienced and Trained Teachers
All of our teachers are trained to a high standard and are regularly screened using enhanced DBS checks. We are fully insured, and our teachers are committed to delivering the best swimming education possible. We are proud of our family-run business and the high-quality swimming education we provide.
