Our beautifully restored Victorian house dates back to 1870 and has been lovingly transformed into a unique and environmentally conscious accommodation. Our Story
Whilst restoring Aviemore, we were committed to preserving the original charm of the house while incorporating our love for sustainable living. We upcycled, sourced unusual and beautiful objects, and worked with local craftsmen to create interesting and environmentally friendly guest accommodations. Our decorations and furnishings are carefully selected to reflect our dedication to the environment, and we take pride in being one of the first and last remaining bed and breakfasts in Rye.
Our Commitment to Sustainability
At Aviemore Rye, we are deeply committed to reducing our carbon footprint and minimizing waste. Our kitchen and garden waste are composted to provide organic mulch for our garden, and we recycle everything that the current system allows. Most of our furnishings and decorations are upcycled, and we believe that upcycling is a more efficient way forward. We are particularly conscious of plastic waste and have taken steps to eliminate it from our guest rooms. You will not find plastic bottled water in your room, but instead, we offer still water in decanters and sparkling water using the original sodasteam. We have also switched our water and electricity suppliers to those making a positive difference to the environment.
