Achieve Optimal Health and Wellness with Our Expert Care
Our Vision
The Dragon Martial Arts Association (DMAA) fosters a vibrant and inclusive community of martial artists, empowering individuals through the traditional Chinese arts of Kung Fu, Tai Chi, and Qi Gong. Founded on a lineage steeped in authentic tradition, we aim to share the profound physical and philosophical benefits of these profound martial and meditative practices with pupils of all ages and abilities.
Our Styles
Our curriculum embraces three distinct styles of Chinese martial arts:
Southern Dragon Style Kung Fu (Long Ying Kuen)
Drawing inspiration from the ferocious power and grace of the dragon, this dynamic style emphasizes swift kicks, explosive strikes, and agile movements. Guided by Sifu Braithwaite, a lineage holder of this prestigious style, DMAA students learn to harness inner power alongside practical self-defense skills.
Yang Style Tai Chi
This internal practice promotes physical and mental harmony through gentle, flowing movements and deep breathing. Students learn to harness their energy, resulting in enhanced flexibility, improved balance, and increased mental clarity.
Liu He Ba Fa (Water Boxing)
Considered one of the most sophisticated martial arts in existence, this ancient art emphasizes fluidity, adaptability, and seamless transitions. By embodying the essence of water, practitioners develop remarkable adaptability, power, and resilience.
Our Approach
Beyond physical training, we foster a holistic approach to martial arts. Our instructors guide students through philosophical and spiritual aspects, fostering personal growth, self-awareness, and inner strength alongside physical skill development.
Our Community
DMAA students are part of a supportive and welcoming community. We encourage interaction, open communication, and respectful training, fostering lasting friendships and personal growth. Our connections extend beyond our classes, with regular events, seminars, and international collaborations fostering a sense of belonging and shared purpose.
