Skipton Tennis Centre, located in the picturesque market town of Skipton amidst the rolling hills of the Yorkshire Dales, has been awarded LTA Yorkshire, North of England, and National Club of the Year 2017-18. Established in 2008, our club has grown to include five hard courts, three of which are floodlit, a Padel court (also floodlit), a club pro shop, changing facilities, and a refreshment bar. Our mission is to inspire, motivate, and enhance our members' health and wellbeing.
Facilities at Skipton Tennis Centre
Our facilities have expanded over the years, starting with three floodlit courts in 2008 and additional tennis courts in 2014. We are proud to have recently introduced a Padel court, one of the first venues in the UK to introduce the sport. All of our hard courts and Padel court are floodlit, allowing for evening play and events. Our club pro shop offers the latest tennis and Padel rackets, footwear, clothing, and bags, and we provide a restringing service. At Skipton Tennis Centre, you can find comfortable changing facilities and a refreshment bar.
STC Services and Programs
We are proud to offer a selection of services and programs for our members and the community:
1. Holiday Camps: We conduct tennis, football, and multi-sport holiday camps for children of all ages during school holidays.
2. Coaching Programme: Our structured group coaching programs cater to both adults and children, providing tailored instruction from beginners to match players.
3. Coaching for Children: ACES coaching and HomeStart initiative for children aged 3-11, and additional coaching and competition opportunities for juniors aged 12-16.
4. Adult Coaching: Group and private coaching for adults, as well as social and competitive playing opportunities.
5. Padel: We offer Padel coaching, as well as opportunities to learn and play the sport on our new court.
