Outstanding Early Years Child Care in London
Established in 1967, we began as a parent-run playgroup addressing nursery shortages in Muswell Hill. Today, we operate two Ofsted-rated Outstanding locations - Springfield and Page's Lane - while maintaining our community-focused ethos. Our experienced practitioners provide warm, stimulating environments for children aged 2-4, prioritising holistic development through play-based learning. We hold exclusive access to exceptional outdoor spaces including woodland areas and meadows, complementing our creative indoor classrooms.

As a registered charity, we work in partnership with parents to promote equality and diversity, offering volunteering opportunities and maintaining transparent communication. Our team's expertise ensures compliance with the highest educational standards while fostering a joyful learning atmosphere.

Services
Early Years Education
We deliver comprehensive early years education for children aged 2-4, following the Early Years Foundation Stage framework. Our curriculum combines structured activities with free play, focusing on key developmental areas including communication, physical development and personal, social and emotional growth. Learning environments are carefully designed to stimulate curiosity and creativity.
Outdoor Learning
Children benefit from extensive outdoor spaces including woodland areas, meadows and dedicated gardens. These natural environments support sensory development and physical coordination through exploration and hands-on learning experiences. Outdoor activities are available throughout sessions regardless of weather conditions, promoting resilience and environmental awareness.
Cooking Club
Our weekly cooking club introduces children to basic culinary skills and food preparation techniques. This practical activity supports mathematical concepts through measuring, develops fine motor skills and encourages healthy eating habits. Children participate in the full process from ingredient preparation to enjoying their creations.
Woodwork Activities
Supervised woodwork sessions allow children to develop manual dexterity and spatial awareness using child-safe tools. These activities promote concentration, problem-solving skills and creative expression through constructing simple wooden projects under professional guidance.
Parent Involvement
We actively encourage parental participation through volunteering opportunities and fundraising activities. Parents are considered integral members of our charity, with opportunities to contribute to decision-making processes and daily operations while building supportive community connections.
