What is Chiropractic?

Chiropractic is a healthcare discipline that focuses on the neuro-musculoskeletal system. The spine, comprising 24 moveable vertebrae, the sacrum, and the coccyx, houses the spinal cord, through which nerve information is transmitted from the brain to the rest of the body. When the spinal column is correctly aligned, nerve information is passed accurately. However, if any part of the spine becomes misaligned, nerve function may become impaired, leading to pain, discomfort, or restricted mobility.
