The St Andrews Thistle Golf Club, an establishment that carries a rich and intriguing history, dates back to its original formation in 1817 as the Thistle Golf Society. The club was subsequently reformed in 1865, taking on the name of the Thistle Golf Club, and was established as an artisan club. Today, the club operates under the name of the St Andrews Thistle Golf Club, upholding the traditions and values that have been in place since its inception.

The St Andrews Thistle Golf Club is proud to have Old Tom Morris as an Honorary Member. As one of the most influential figures in the history of golf, his association with the club further enhances its prestige and standing within the golfing community.
