Our company's origins date back to the early years of the Second World War when Pista Novak, the founder of our business, had to close the doors of his family's freight forwarding company in Budapest. Pista joined the Czech Army and later the French Foreign Legion, fighting against the Nazis. After Dunkirk, he joined the British Army, and once demobilized, he decided to start anew in his adopted country.

In 1956, Pista, now known as Richard Howard, established Howard Shipping Services Ltd in the UK. The company has remained a family-owned and operated business ever since, providing top-notch services to our clients. We are a forward-thinking company that continuously adapts to new technologies while holding on to our traditional values of reliability and service.
