B&M Steel & Welding, Inc. is a family-owned business that has been operating in Union City, Indiana since 1974. Over the years, we have built a reputation for providing high-quality steel fabrication and welding services to clients both locally and nationwide.

Our story began when my Grandpa Wallace Bertram and Uncle Dick Myers purchased a welding company and changed its name to B&M Steel. Their first opportunity came from a customer across the street at Union City Mold. Since then, the business has grown from a local provider of various steel fabrication services to a national service provider. In 1985, ownership of the company was passed onto my dad, Steve Rader, and in 2016, to me. As the third-generation owner of B&M Steel, I take pride in treating our clients like family and providing exceptional service.

At B&M Steel & Welding, Inc., we have a team of skilled professionals with over 100 years of combined experience. Our full-time shop employees have completed the OSHA 30-hour course and the ANSI/AWS D1.1 certification. Our President, Todd, is an NCCCO Certified Crane Operator and has spent over a decade learning the trade from his father Steve in the shop and in the field. He has managed crews for projects including installations of new construction and rebuilds/shutdowns.

Our Facility

Our facility is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and tools that enable us to handle even the most complex welding and fabrication projects. We have a 14,000 square foot facility with overhead cranes, CNC machines, and various welding machines.
