Person-Centred Counselling for Adults, Children & Young People
I am a person-centred counsellor with over 16 years of experience supporting adults, children, and young people through emotional and psychological challenges. My career began in psychiatric nursing before transitioning to the RAF, where I developed skills in supporting individuals and teams. This led to extensive work with children and young people in community roles, fostering my commitment to early intervention. I hold a Diploma in Counselling and a post-qualifying Diploma in Counselling Children and Adolescents, achieving BACP accreditation in 2013. My practice prioritises creating a safe, non-judgmental space for clients to explore issues such as anxiety, bereavement, relationship difficulties, and trauma.

I have particular experience working with the LGBTQ+ community and men affected by sexual abuse, offering affirmative and trauma-informed support. My approach is grounded in the belief that clients are the experts of their own lives, with sessions tailored to individual needs. I previously worked as a family mediator, integrating this experience to help families improve communication and resolve conflicts. While I no longer offer face-to-face sessions, I provide accessible telephone and video counselling, with flexible pricing to accommodate financial constraints. My practice adheres strictly to BACP ethical principles, ensuring confidentiality and professional standards.
