Agnostics and individuals from different faiths or backgrounds are welcome and can take away different things from the sessions. A Warning about NKT

However, it is important to note that the NKT is not part of the ancient Kadampa Tradition but rather a Western sect made up by a Tibetan rebel with no followers in Tibet. It is highly appealing to young and vulnerable people and has been described as a cult by some critics. The true spirit of Buddhism can be found in Theravada (Vipassana), Triratna, Zen, and the genuine traditional Tibetan Buddhist orders.
