At The Gillshill Pelican Preschool, our vision is to create a nurturing and stimulating environment where young minds can flourish. We believe in a play-based curriculum that fosters a love of learning, promotes social and emotional development, and empowers children to reach their full potential.

Our Services

We offer:

• Sessional care: Sessions for children ages 3-4, running from 8:30-11:30am and 12:30-3:30pm, Monday to Friday.
• Breakfast Club: From 8:00-8:30am (cost: 2.50 per day)
• Extended day care: Option to stay all day with a packed lunch.
• 30 hours free funding: Subject to eligibility.
• Flexible scheduling: We are committed to accommodating individual needs and parental preferences.

Our Curriculum

Our curriculum is based on the EYFS framework and focuses on:

• Personal development: Nurturing the social, emotional, and physical development of each child.
• Communication and language: Encouraging language development through stimulating conversations and storytelling.
• Mathematical development: Introducing basic mathematical concepts through everyday activities.
• Literacy: Developing a love for stories and fostering a passion for reading.
• Creative development: Encouraging artistic expression and exploration through various mediums.
• Understanding the world: Exploring the environment and learning about different cultures and concepts.
