Daisy Chain

At Daisy Chain Day Nursery, we are a small, homely nursery that offers a nurturing and stimulating environment for children from 3 months to 5 years. With a maximum capacity of 30 children, we are able to spend a significant amount of time getting to know parents and children alike. Each child has a dedicated key worker who works closely with the child and parent to ensure that their individual needs are met.

Our Objectives

Our overarching objective is to provide the highest possible standards of care and education. We do this by providing a safe and stimulating environment that is fun and welcoming. This allows children to express themselves, learn autonomy, social skills, and generally make satisfying progress in all aspects of their development. We also aim to provide a good foundation for future learning.

Our Nursery Environment

Our building has been adapted to meet the needs of our nursery. We have age-appropriate rooms for babies, toddlers, and pre-school children, with direct and unlimited access to our fully enclosed garden. Our garden is designed to stimulate children's senses, with a sensory area, a digging area, and a growing area where children can harvest their own fruits, vegetables, herbs, and flowers. We also have a sand area, ball pit, and water station to encourage physical development.

Our Team

Our dedicated team of staff are highly qualified and experienced in childcare. Our staff are trained to Level 3 in Early Years or above, and many have additional qualifications in paediatric first aid. We also have a Nursery Manager, Samantha, who has achieved an Early Years Professional Status and has completed a Level 3 award in First Line Management.

Parental Partnership

We believe in working together with parents to ensure that each child's needs are met. We have a range of procedures in place to build bridges between home and nursery, including monthly newsletters, parent's evenings, and parent's participation sessions. We also have a parent's handbook and room handbook that provides information about the routines and staff within each room.

Our Services

We provide a range of services to support children's development, including daily routines, nursery curriculum, and meals. Our nursery is open from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday to Friday, with options for early starts. We are fully Ofsted registered and have been rated as Good.
