Artisan Coffee & Roastery on Holy Island Lindisfarne
Pilgrims Coffee is a family-run, socially-minded specialty coffee shop and roastery located on the Holy Island of Lindisfarne in North Northumberland. Established in 2006, we prioritise sustainability and quality, roasting small batches of ethically sourced Arabica beans to deliver rich, robust flavours. Our commitment to environmental responsibility is evident in our eco-friendly packaging and support for reforestation projects. We operate a cosy caf serving homemade cakes and seasonal food, complemented by a walled garden for visitors to enjoy. Our journey began in a garden yurt in 2014, evolving into a repurposed shipping container roastery equipped with a state-of-the-art Loring Smart Roaster. We collaborate with local businesses and ensure fair compensation for coffee producers, regardless of certification status. In 2021, we upgraded our roaster with support from the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development, enhancing efficiency and sustainability. Our coffee is available online and in our shop, alongside curated gifts and accessories. We align our opening hours with Holy Islands tidal patterns, ensuring a unique and community-focused experience. Our dedication to quality, sustainability, and local partnerships defines our identity as a trusted, award-winning destination on Holy Island.
