Elmcroft Turfcare is a locally based independent business that has been serving the King's Lynn, Wisbech, and surrounding areas with over 20 years of experience in the lawn care industry. At Elmcroft Turfcare, we understand that achieving a beautiful lawn requires time, effort, and work. That is why we offer a comprehensive lawn care programme that can be customised to suit your specific soil type and grasses. Our programme consists of five steps designed to maintain the quality of your lawn throughout the year.

Step 1 - Spring: Our lawn care programme begins when the grass starts growing, and the ground conditions are favourable. We apply a lawn sand that contains a nitrogen-iron tonic feed, which helps control moss and acts as a spring fertiliser.

Step 2 - Spring: After 2-3 weeks, once the moss has turned black, we scarify the lawn and remove all debris. Scarifying is a crucial part of lawn care, which is why we include it as part of our standard programme.

Step 3 - Spring / Summer: Approximately 4 weeks after applying the lawn sand, we apply a Spring and Summer fertiliser. This quality granular fertiliser feeds your lawn for approximately 4-6 weeks and provides iron and magnesium, both of which help to colour and harden the turf. We also apply a separate liquid weed killer at this time.

Step 4 - Summer: We apply a slow-release granular fertiliser that helps prevent scorch and maintains a greener lawn throughout the Summer.

Step 5 - Autumn: Our Autumn and Winter fertiliser application provides good controlled Autumn growth and restricts the onset of moss throughout the Winter.

• Solid / Hollow Tine Aeration: One of the most important factors in the development and maintenance of a perfect lawn is Solid / Hollow Tine Aeration. We use specialist equipment to spike or remove small "cores" from your lawn, which allows air to access the root system and promotes healthy growth.
• Scarification: Scarifying your lawn helps remove thatch and moss build-up, allowing your lawn to breathe and grow healthily. We include this process as part of our usual lawn care programme.
